About this Project

UP Diliman Academic Commons is an ambitious 1-hectare plaza located in the heart of the University of the Philippines Diliman Campus. It serves as a vibrant public space, featuring a collection of outdoor artwork and the magnificent trees of the old campus. Adjacent to the UP film center and the new CAL theatre, it offers a picturesque setting for leisure and relaxation. In addition, the plaza will be the site of two exciting adaptive reuse projects: the Quonset Hut and the old Mechanical Engineering laboratory building, which will be transformed into the UP Campus Museum and Merchandise Building respectively.
